FAQs
What to Expect
What can I expect on my first visit to Horizon?
The Horizon environment was built for comfort, encouraging everyone who enters to relax and feel at home. Casual weekend attire tends to be the preferred style. Friends mingle, sharing introductions and stories; teens chat and laugh while kids scurry and play. Newcomers are welcomed with a warm handshake, and smiling greeters kneel to meet a child at eye level.
The surroundings offer options—a bustling conversation center, a quiet sofa for reading and a handsome Chapel for services. It’s all here, crafted with you in mind. The views inside and out are striking. It was meant to be that way, designed to celebrate a great and giving God—and it’s meant to stand now and for generations to come.
On your first visit if you have any questions, please ask our greeting team or stop by the Information Desk and we will be happy to assist you. Or you can visit the Hearth Room immediately after each service for an informal, no-pressure gathering where you can be welcomed, learn a bit about the church and make a friend or two. Exiting the Chapel, the Hearth Room is the third door on your left.
You can also contact us via email.
What are the services like and which should I attend?
At Horizon, we recognize that a spiritual journey is personal and unique. The unifying goal is that all will grow into a deeper understanding and closer relationship with God. For that reason, we offer two different services distinctly shaped to reflect Horizon’s key values: Exploring and Equipping.
- The Exploring Service is designed for those who are recently returning to faith, new to faith, or just beginning to investigate Christianity. The Exploring Service offers topical themes and spiritual questions relevant to everyday life. Down-to-earth teaching, upbeat music, and creative media help the audience wrestle with topics relevant to everyday life like parenting and relationships, world philosophies, decision making, ethics in the workplace, and the search for significance.

- The Equipping Service is designed for those who are maturing in their faith, featuring participatory worship music, times of prayer and reflection, monthly communion, and expository verse-by-verse teaching focused on specific books of the Bible.
