Horizon women's study: Nothing to Prove: Why We Can Stop Trying So Hard
About this Seminar/Workshop
Horizon women are invited to a group study entitled
Nothing to Prove: Why We Can Stop Trying So Hard.
Wednesday afternoons, 1:30 p.m. – 3 p.m.
September 24th – November 12th
- or –
Thursday evenings, 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
September 25th – November 13th
Do you feel like you continually need to work harder to prove yourself? Do you fear that you don’t measure up to others’ expectations or that you don’t have what it takes to do what you believe you should? Join other Horizon women for an 8-week study where we will seek to:
- Find freedom from self-induced pressure by acknowledging we’re not enough—but there is Someone who is.
- Admit our greatest needs and let them be filled by the only One who can meet them.
- Make it our goal to get to know Jesus better and watch what He can do in our lives.
Each week you will read through a section of the book, and we will meet to discuss what we are learning. Angela Tomson, Women’s Connections Director at Horizon, will lead us each Wednesday afternoon from 1:30 p.m. - 3 p.m. from September 24th – November 12th, or Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. from September 25th – November 13th.
Books will be distributed at the first session. Childcare is provided for infant – 4th Grade for the Thursday evening sessions only. Please register for childcare when you register for the Thursday evening sessions.
