Horizon, in partnership with Cincinnati Nature Center, is working on a project to restore native plants and biodiversity on our grounds. Eco Service Projects are planned throughout the year to remove invasive plants on the Horizon grounds and plant native flowers and trees.

An Eco Service Project is planned for Saturday, March 14th at 9:30 a.m.   Please meet in the Atrium when you arrive.

Activities planned for this event are:

  • Continuing the work in the Playscape by putting final touches on some new features.
  • Embankment Slide installation
  • Labeling and learning about the plants in our native garden beds
  • Brush cutting and invasive removal

Everyone is welcome to join in these service dates, so bring the whole family! Children under 12 who would like to participate in a service project should be accompanied by a parent.
