Exploring | Guest Speaker: Dan Meyer

As Chaplain-in-Residence at Ocean Reef in Florida, Dan will already be known to many in the Horizon community.

His call to ministry formed while playing semi-pro basketball in Northern Ireland at the height of the Province’s infamous “Troubles.” He has worked on an offshore oil rig, in a maximum-security prison, in IBM’s world corporate headquarters, and for churches in New York, California, and Illinois. Dan is an Emmy Award-winning television host, author and past board chair of Fuller Theological Seminary, the world’s largest non-denominational seminary. For 28 years, Dan led Christ Church of Oak Brook, a 6,000-member multisite congregation west of Chicago. A graduate of Yale University, Dan also holds degrees from both Princeton and Fuller.
