Horizon Helps: Matthew 25 Ministries Hurricane Helene Relief

Horizon is responding to the severe flooding in many parts of the south and eastern parts of the United States caused by Hurricane Helene. You are invited to donate items that Horizon will deliver, or donate funds directly to our partner organization, Matthew 25 Ministries.

Monetary donations may be made directly to Matthew 25 Ministries. You may donate online by visiting www.m25m.org/disaster/helene24 or mail checks to Matthew 25 Ministries, 11060 Kenwood Road, Blue Ash, OH 45242. 100% of donated funds designated for the 2024 Hurricane Helene will be used for the purpose intended.

The following items are needed by Sunday, October 27th.  These items will be used for restocking during their response and for future disasters:

• Cases of bottled water: 12 and 24 count
• Personal care products: Antibacterial soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, body wash, deodorant, lotion, etc.
• Cleaning supplies: Laundry detergents, general cleaner, sponges, bleach (powdered form is preferred), mops, scrub brushes, buckets, rubber gloves, etc.
• Paper products: Toilet paper, paper towels, etc.
• Baby and infant supplies: Diapers, wipes, diaper rash ointment, baby wash, baby shampoo, baby lotion, etc.
• First-aid items: Bandages, gauze, pads, first aid tape, antiseptic creams, hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, latex gloves, instant cold packs, etc.
• Candles and flashlights (with batteries included).
• Clean-up supplies: Protective eyewear, work gloves, trash bags, etc.

You may drop off items at the information desk at Horizon on Sundays between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. If the church is closed, you may drop items off in the breezeway.

A team of Horizon volunteers will personally deliver these items to Matthew 25 Ministries near the end of October.
