The Happy Church 5th - 8th Grade Serving Trip 2024

The Happy Church resides in Jackson, KY, one of the most impoverished communities in the United States. Horizon partners with The Happy Church to feed the hungry, distribute school supplies, and work on community projects. These trips are open to students who have finished grades 5-8 in the 2023-2024 school year, as well as adult chaperones.

We will meet at Horizon at 9 a.m. on Tuesday and return to Horizon around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Students and parents who plan on serving on The Happy Church Trips in July are asked to attend two pre-trip meetings. These are designed to give a better understanding of The Happy Church, the surrounding community, and how we will serve them. It is also an opportunity for everyone to get acquainted before the trip. These two meetings will take place on Sunday, April 7th and Sunday, June, 2nd from noon to 1 p.m.

The cost for this trip for students is $275 and $75 for chaperones. This cost covers transportation, lodging, meals, and supplies while serving at The Happy Church.
