Ecological Stewardship at Horizon

Horizon, in partnership with Cincinnati Nature Center, is working on a project to restore native plants and biodiversity on our grounds. Horizon is seeking those passionate about improving our environment. Eco Service Projects are planned throughout the year to remove invasive plants on the Horizon grounds, pile brush for bonfires, and plant native flowers and trees. 

On Saturday, June 8th, an Eco Service Project is planned from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. at Horizon.  The focus varies based on the weather, but we will be potting shrub seeds and acorns, sorting seeds, decorating and filling seed packets, removing brush, removing invasive plants, piling brush, planting native flowers and trees.   All are welcome to participate! The morning includes a special opportunity for high school students to partner with the Ecological Stewardship Team.

Everyone is welcome to join in these service dates so bring the whole family! Children under 12 who would like to participate in a service project should be accompanied by a parent.
