Parenting Workshop - Resiliency: A Necessary Ability for Today's Times

Sunday, November 5
6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Children who are resilient bounce back quickly from difficulties and disappointments. Resiliency starts as a choice and can become a part of who they are. It must! Children who are not resilient will be forever defined by trauma and stress. They’ll be pessimistic; stuck in their anger and grief; and give up quickly on God, themselves, and others. When they’re resilient, they’ll use effort, learn new skills, and be effective problem solvers. Dr. Kathy Koch will teach you how to parent so your children develop this quality. Her practical techniques work and you will be able to create an environment that makes resiliency more likely. You and your children must recover from trauma and stress!

We encourage your family to have dinner together before you arrive. We will provide light refreshments and snacks during the program as well as for children and students.

  • Childcare will be provided for infant - PreK and there will be age-appropriate activities and time in PlayLand.
  • K-4th will view a movie in the E-Station Theater and have some play time in PlayLand.
  • 5th - 8th Grade will have hangout time in the Garage.

Snacks will be served to each age group in their areas.
