The Happy Church 5th - 8th Grade Serving Trip - July 24-28, 2023

The Happy Church resides in Jackson, KY, one of the most impoverished communities in the United States. Horizon partners with The Happy Church to feed the hungry, distribute school supplies, and work on community projects. This trip is open to students who have finished grades 5-8 in the 2022-2023 school year as well as adult chaperones. As space allows, high school students may register as student leaders.

Monday, July 24th - Friday, July 28th
Meet at Horizon at 9 a.m. on Monday
Returning to Horizon around 5 p.m. on Friday

Cost:
Students $275 / Chaperones $75
Covers transportation, lodging, meals, and supplies while serving at The Happy Church.

Students and parents who plan on serving on The Happy Church Trip in July are asked to attend two pre-trip meetings. These are designed to give a better understanding of The Happy Church, the surrounding community, and how we will serve them. It is also an opportunity for everyone to get acquainted before the trip. There will be two meetings: Sunday, April 23rd and Sunday, May, 28th from noon to 1 p.m.
