Women's Speaker Series

Horizon women and friends are invited to take part in an evening of connection and conversation. This event includes a delicious dinner immediately followed by an illuminating presentation and group discussion.

Presentation topic: The Power of Your Words: Fall in Love With Your Future

About the Speaker: As a high school teacher and later as an academic university instructor, Mary Beshear enjoyed helping young people learn the skills of critical thinking, persuasive writing, and confident public speaking. After earning a PhD at Marquette University, she turned her career energies to writing scripts for radio, writing feature stories for a national magazine, teaching women’s groups, and parenting her two children. Mary has written three books: Fall in Love with Your Future, The One He Loves and Fight the Good Fight. In her writing, teaching and mentoring, Mary reflects her desire to encourage others. She has served on Trustee Boards for her children’s school and for numerous non-profit agencies. Mary and husband, Ron, live in Cincinnati and have two children, Ben and Robin, as well as two grandchildren: Logan and Campbell.
